Sublimation is an ink transfer process by which any high-resolution full-colour image can be applied to a variety of products, resulting in higher quality images than standard offset printing or silk-screening.

The Process

Images are digitally printed onto high-quality inkjet transfer paper using specially formulated inks. The transfer is then applied to the chosen product by applying extreme heat which converts the inks to their gas form. While in this gaseous state, the inks are attracted to certain synthetic products and actually bond with the surface.

Unlike traditional silk-screening or heat-press transfers, sublimation creates a permanent, durable, high-resolution final product.
